Her conception took place on the 29th of March, 1985 in Roswell located in the state of New Mexico. Gerina Michelle Mendoza has been her birth name. Gerina Stevenson, the Mexican mother from Rita Stevenson Stevenson and Alan Stevenson Stevenson, is born in Mexico. She is of Mexican-American heritage and is American in citizenship. Since she was a child she's been extremely interested in participating in sport. Gerina began playing golf when she was 15 years old. Gerina finished her High School studies in Goddard High School. As a high-school student she won in the New Mexico Golf State Tournament. She also had her volleyball skills acknowledged at the national scale. The year 2003 was the time she began her studies at the University of Texas. In the final period of her career she won each tournament that she participated in. In her undergraduate years, she earned the titles of Conference USA Female Athlete and Conference USA Individual Player of the Year.
